I always knew him best from Double Impact and while he has done a solid amount of work over his career, I wish he had done more. Like I said in my previous comment, Lewis has a great look and plays bad really good, especially in HPD.Matt-suzakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215962688591291944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235923248137948919.post-49615316419980304572010-01-21T11:22:51.655-05:002010-01-21T11:22:51.655-05:00hmmm. i'd say you never know but with Lewis i&...hmmm. i'd say you never know but with Lewis i'd give him the benefit of the doubt. funny thing a friend of mine didn't believe he was Juliet Lewis dad and we made a bet. consulting the wiki i won $10. geofrey lewis he giveth and then taketh away.

meant also to say the blog title for this post was genius and from a good song. a long review is good sometimes when it's positive (like in this case) and well written (again, like in this case). you got nothing to worry about friendo. drag away.wiec?https://www.blogger.com/profile/10309538159614542664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235923248137948919.post-86266560845564585792010-01-21T00:26:03.263-05:002010-01-21T00:26:03.263-05:00THAT, is an awesome tale my friend! It was The Stranger that scared you right out of the womb!

Lewis was fantastic as Stacey and he has such a great look and made for a perfect bad guy...so I'm glad you brought him up. I actually really wanted to bring him up in the review, but I didn't want to drag the review out too long, which is something I do anyways!

I have a story about Geoffry Lewis...when I used to be a bartender, I waited on this dude that was scamming all the area businesses using faux 9-11 stories and he beat me for fucking ten bucks. Anyways, he looked EXACTLY like Lewis. EXACTLY!Matt-suzakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215962688591291944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235923248137948919.post-33881342381173635892010-01-20T23:36:05.783-05:002010-01-20T23:36:05.783-05:00i love this movie and I'm glad you did too.
...i love this movie and I'm glad you did too.

this is probably one of my favorite Eastwood movies for a ton of reasons but 2 of the biggest are Geoffry Lewis as the leader of the 3 outlaws. when he talks to that guy while sharpening the stick and then gets pissed and then stabs that guy with said sharpened stick that is one brilliant scene. the other major reason is my mom told me years and years ago that her water broke when she and my dad saw this in the theatre. about 32 hours later i was born.wiec?https://www.blogger.com/profile/10309538159614542664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235923248137948919.post-42840426634140298952010-01-16T15:16:39.933-05:002010-01-16T15:16:39.933-05:00I just checked youboob for some Warrior of the Los...I just checked youboob for some Warrior of the Lost World clips and it looks pretty amazing! Love the motorcycle!

I wasn't all that into Westerns as a kid either...I was more into Karate and Action (and horror) movies when I was younger. I probably thought they were too slow and boring and it's the slowness that I have come to appreciate about over the years.

High Plains is great because it does have some slower moments, but there is still enough going on to keep it at a solid pace. Plus the build up to the fantastic finale is all worth it. Check it out and review it or let me know what you thought of it this time around!Matt-suzakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215962688591291944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235923248137948919.post-85237087356689910652010-01-16T14:45:45.759-05:002010-01-16T14:45:45.759-05:00I've been meaning to revisit this one for awhi...I've been meaning to revisit this one for awhile; it's one of those flicks that my dad would always make me sit through back in the day, and I wasn't savvy enough to appreciate 'em in my young & stupid phase. I recently watched the MST3K version of "WARRIOR OF THE LOST WORLD", and the director of that tried to describe it as HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER, but on a motorcycle. Ha! Rubbish. But it did entice me to go back and revisit HPD and your review has sealed that deal. Thanks, bud.J. Astrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07572640647802774445noreply@blogger.com
